UPDATE / CORRECTION on Kerry's 97 "Crossfire" appearance

The Washington Times just published a correction. What kerry actually said was:

In reference to a U.N. Security Council resolution demanding access to Iraqi weapons sites, Mr. Kerry actually said: "I think that's our great concern [-] where's the backbone of Russia, where's the backbone of France, where are they in expressing their condemnation of such clearly illegal activity [-] but in a sense, they're now climbing into a box and they will have enormous difficulty not following up on this if there is not compliance by Iraq."

Later, referring to French and Russian reservations on the use of force, Mr. Kerry said: "There's absolutely no statement that they have made or that they will make that will prevent the United States of America and this president or any president from acting in what they believe are the best interests of our country."

While the language is different, the spirit of the comment and think is nearly identical.

Kerry Supported Pre-emptive Action Against Iraq!!!!

During a 1997 "Crossfire" television progam, the Washington Times reports that Kerry said the following:

"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians. . . . We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest."

Can you believe this language? So much for Kerry's tired-out "unilateral" argument.

Just remember, this all makes logical sense if you realize that Dems support war, only when Dems are in office.

Dana Stevens remarks on slate.com are friggin hilarious.

Kerry's charisma was less than zero: It was negative. He was a charm vacuum, forced to actually borrow mojo from audience members. He was a dessicated husk, a tin man who really didn't have a heart. His lack of vibrancy, his utter dearth of sex appeal made Al Gore look like Charo. . . .
Watching Kerry strike out was especially heartbreaking given that Stewart was pitching not just softballs but marshmallows. Puffy interview marshmallows with rainbow sprinkles on them, and Kerry was letting them sail by as if he planned to get to first base on a walk. That may be how he hopes to win the presidency as well, but before he gets there, he'll have to jump through hoops a lot tougher than this exchange. . .

While it does appear Kerry is trying to at least take a few swings now, it might just be too little too late.

Does anyone really like Teresa, and if so why?

Excluding republicans who can’t wait for her next verbal gaffu, I don’t see how the dems can really be excited to have this women as the possible first lady.

Maybe I’m clueless on the subject, but it seems to me that dems are completely going out of their way to try to like her, and show everyone that they do.

The first blatant sign if this was during the convention when Mrs. Kerry told a reporter to “shove it.” When Hillary Rodham was asked about it, she laughed and said “You go girl!” The dems later made an announcement and decried the reporter as a “republican scab.”

Another blatant occurrence of the dems trying to support Mrs. Kerry, no matter what, was the reaction to her convention speech. The speech was so long winded, so abstract, so nonsensical, that it left the pom pom holding delegates in a lethargic state, unsure of where and why they should even be applauding. After the dismal speech democratic pundits were trying their best to paint the best picture possible, but to no avail. The dems quickly dismissed her speech and went on to praise Obama’s opening remarks.

Then within the last few weeks, Mrs. Kerry has called opponents to her husbands health care plan “idiots” and her critics “scumbags.”

As Paris Hilton found out, money can get you a lot of things, but it can’t get you class.

Rather, it's time for retirement

So Rather is still pushing the notion that even though the Memos are of questionable authenticity the real question is whether or not Bush shirked his guard duties. First of all, would anyone be suprised that Bush got preferential treatment? Does this make him unfit for command? Rather and CBS are totally missing the point that the memos themselves are totally overshadowing the story of Bush missing a few drills. This is almost hilarious that Rather thinks that this is some relavant story. What is definitely relevant, however, is how CBS obtained those memos.

Brainwashing 101

I recommend everyone to check out this short documentary on campus speech codes. You can find it on www.brain-terminal.com or www.academicbias.com. If you haven't seen his other videos, they're a must see.

A rather interesting development Mr. Rather.

In the face of the firestorm concerning the alledgedly forged national guard documents Dan Rather has stuck to his guns, claiming that the real questions should be directed at the President. While Dan hopes, that the world would fall in line and believe his side of the story, what he doesn't understand is that no one is even going to question Bush until the documents are authenticated. And by authenticated I mean verified by a typing expert, as opposed to a handwriting expert.

Until Mr. Rather can prove that the documents are authentic, all eyes and arrows will be focused on him, CBS, and the elite establishment media in general.

It didn't take long for the blogosphere to unearth the possible truth of the Bush national guard records. Courtesy to Powerline.com and Instapundit.com for being all over the story. Whether or not the records are real frankly doesn't matter much to me, but the fact that CBS was willing to go with such a potentially harmful story based on a "preponderance" of the evidence is suprising. If Drudge had run the story is one thing, but the fact that CBS did is pretty telling.

Well, this is my first post so don't expect much. To all you visitors, I guess the purpose of this blog is two-fold. First to be able to talk trash on Kevins Football Fantasy blog, and second, to post whatever I want on my own blog. I don't think I'll have anything too original, but I'll see what I can come up with.
