The Feeling Might be Mutual
A new poll shows that Old Europe has an unfavorable view of Americans.
International resentment of the United States has spilled over to include bad feelings for the American people, too - at least in three European countries that opposed U.S. policies in Iraq.
People in France, Germany and Spain are more likely to have an unfavorable than favorable view of Americans, Associated Press polling found.
Just over half in France and Germany said they viewed Americans unfavorably. Almost half in Spain felt that way, while a third of Spaniards viewed Americans favorably.
I guess I'll have to buy some Freedom Fries, Freedom Chocolate Cake, and Freedom Rice to make myself feel better.

You know, I am tired of all this international complaining. The French are just complete ninnies, they never won a war without the americans, the spanish, who cares, they have no world power. The germans they tried twice to become powerful and twice we kicked their trash. Face it Europe can't survive without the help of the United States. I think we should go into those countries and kick their trash so they can remember where they stand in world order. . .way behind the good old US of A.
Crocodile,
Does your wife know you feel this way?
She probably doesn't, but I would not be afraid to tell her. I just think they forget what freedoms they enjoy because of american sacrifice. . .that is why they end up in wars every so often so they can remember what it is like to be without freedom. How quickly they forget!!
Like the US, “Old” Europe has a delusional liberal press that grossly misrepresents its citizens, so don’t believe everything you hear. For the Europeans who do feel that way, it is not out of disrespect, but out of envy. It is certainly not that we have forgotten what the US has done for our countries; it is just that some chose to ignore it because it makes them feel superior.
